We are talking Verizon here buddy!
Spectrum shmectrum, it's a $223b USD market cap company with a TTM PE of 7.18
$10b spend allows for $2b in spectrum and $3b in network build (5 times what TPM were assuming for build) based on buying out VOC for $4.00 per share which I believe is actually generous.
They could fart out companies bigger than VOC and are already partnering with the big techs in the US, those companies aren't stopping in the US so why would Verizon?
Lets go real crazy and assume they spend $10b USD for Aus and NZ, could really shake some s$%^ up over here, we have never experienced competition like over there, we wouldn't know what to do LOL.
TLS has kept all at bay for a long time in Aus, our telco sector has been watched from afar for many years with the ruler run over TLS more than once, TLS may actually become a target with NBN and new merged TPM entity becoming a reality, much cheaper to buy VOC and build out but involves execution risk.
