I agree, placing anyone on ignore is not an answer, it’s just doing an ostrich.
Sorry Purpose, but I fail to see what you would “gain” by ignoring people, especially if they appear to be onside. Even if they disagree with you, using “ignore” can be seen as trying to ignore debate, which in my opinion is not a good look.
