Well, the only way you will be able to do that is if the share price trades at $1.60.
But that is not the point: as a "loyal and steadfast supporter of the company" why should you have to depend on the vagaries of the market hopefully driving the share price to $1.60 in order to avoid being diluted?
Why could your company's management - who, remember, work for you - simply not offer you the opportunity to buy more shares on precisely the same terms that other lucky investors (some who were probably not even shareholders) were offered shares?
