I noticed that, its interesting that its probably a similar situation to TPG/Voda merger in Aus, with the exception that NZ has mobile roaming and AUS doesnt. But we really need to try and get debt/EBITDA down towards 2, so i dont expect any acquisitions.
It is also a very risky time for investment in mobile, with a lot of capex required in coming years with 5G rollouts. And we would have to weigh it up against other potential targets, like IAB (as telcowiz mentions above), which would be much more modest and could potentially boost our existing SMB offerings.
It would be interesting approach to become a MNO player via NZ, but i think more than anything we need a steady ship for the next year or two, without introducing any significant new risk.
