"Australian software giant Atlassian is moving fast to target the burgeoning market for IT crash alert systems, encouraging one analyst to lift his price target even after the stock almost doubled this year.
The fast-growing global maker of programs that co-ordinate software development agreed to pay $US295 million ($411 million) to buy Boston-based OpsGenie.
Buying OpsGenie, which was founded in 2012 and also has offices in Ankara, Turkey. and near Washington, DC, will see Atlassian expand into systems aimed at preventing software and website outages and downtime, which it says costs North American businesses $US700 billion a year".
