"Diamondback moth (Plutella xylostella) is highly invasive and a major global pest of cruciferous vegetables(cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower) and oilseed (canola) crops, costing the world economy US$4-5 billion annually .Despite extensive research, the Diamondback moth remains one of the most difficult crop pests to control, withvarious populations showing resistance to a wide range of insecticides.
