Hey Smugtown
Totally agree that options will lapse, its a no brainer.
Why would a business take up options that are significantly higher than the current share price? They could be on the market right now buying shares if they wanted to take a key stake holding in the company.
I also agree that there may be a capital raising to secure long term funding for growth, not so a company can pick up options that are expiring. However my preference would be to secure long term debt funding for financial stability and future growth rather then more shares being issued.
Ultimately I'd like to see the business continue to have positive cash flow and improved profitability (albeit significantly higher) due to economies of scale, improved efficiencies, and new contracts whilst reducing debt.
On another note I also was particularly pleased to see FARJOY as a major shareholder in Quickstep as I am also heavily invested in the same share you mentioned. That share is bring me a lot more joy at present.
