Perhaps in waiting to see what traction alternative power might get too? Couple of the bigger players are already happy to simply maintain their forward reserves at a life span 10yrs or under.
And for those inclined to pore over the hows and whys of numbers, here is a paper around how Minimum Economic Field Sizes (MEFS) are established. Might be relevant to us, with some of our smaller prospects?
