The recognised cyclone season is October to March but apart from high humidity and temperature, rains these years are much later, nearer to January, and it depends where you are if the country turns to custard, a lot of the country around Napier is black soil plain stuff, not good and rivers usually run later, the predictor can be the monsoon season with Indonesia and India, so I think we will have till then, but it is safer to get out early. Unbearable conditions in the field.
