I chatted with a QC based in QLD yesterday, so QLD laws will differ.
He mentioned that a reserved decision can take any length of time, as judges aren't given time to actual write their decisions.
I was informed that the chief justice would likely be questioning the judge why he's taking so long, especially for a such a short hearing.
LKO can always ask the law society to approach the chief justice to ask for the judge to speed things up.
