Having a closer look, what this is increasingly looking like is employees who do not fit the culture and who feel guilty about charging extra for actually providing a service (forgetting that they are not Public Servants), and who likely were just not suited to or competent at their job.
Strong cultures are strong because they are unique. Hence, they won't suit everyone.
The answer, I suspect, is to find another job. But, when you are disgruntled, it will feel better to lash out on the media. And the media is more interested in sensationalism than well balanced reporting.
Nevertheless, as I said, I expect management to have a serious look to see if there are systemic issues to be addressed.
