Thanks for the polite and reasoned response. Mostly, not much I disagree with. Although how it relates to the death of the ICE is beyond me.

First thing. I never said I was against renewables, actually quite the opposite - I have a 5Kw array on my roof. For the record, I am aware of the advantages of EVs, I was just about to buy one (either a Tesla or Jaguar) until I found out there was no way of achieving a V2H connection. I am hoping this will change in the future, although I gather the Japanese edition of the Nissan Leaf does allow V2H.

I merely objected to abuse and name calling. How can this be a bad thing?

Read through my earlier posts, my only two points were:

    1) The present grid will be unable to cope with charging the plethora of personal EVs at home. The arithmetic makes this self evident.
    2) The average 5 KW PV array on a non-optimally inclined rooftop will not be able to keep your Tesla charged. Again, the arithmetic makes this self evident.

So onto the "miracle" of Lithium. It will be interesting to see if it remains the energy storage medium of choice in 10 years time. I have no idea. Problem is, today's LiFePO4 cells are lacking in energy density. I'm hoping that research will yield promising results.

Anyhow, this will be my last post on this topic - I've been drowned out by the noisy bully boys from your team. Starting to remind me of Germany, 1938.
