The company is issuing additional shares (144 million). The pro of this is that existing shareholders get to buy them on a pro rata basis depending on how many they hold at a nominated date. I don't have the offer in front of me, but it could be 1 for 4 or something like that.
The shares are usually sold at a discount to a weighted average of, say 1 week of trading before the set date.
The down side is that this will dilute the present value of shares you currently hold.
From memory, ARU has about 600 million shares at the moment, so they are issuing an additional 25% or so.
