I think you are right about sensitivity to the ASX . The ASX has gone feral of late regarding the veracity of announcements and corporate governance in general. From being asleep at the wheel the last few years they have turned 360 and become hyper-vigilant and somewhat difficult to get on with.
Hopefully a happy balance will be found soon.
