I had a book, can't remember the title but it was something like from Walhalla to Woods Point that gave annual production figures for all the mines. Unfortunately I donated it to MCO library.
I went to buy another copy a while ago but the only one I could find was $1000!!!
I remember the little museum at Woods Point had a copy. 3ob seems to go there a bit so maybe he/she could photocopy relevant bits. It's where I read about all the hand sorting going on. That's if the museum is still open, I remember the opening hours were pretty restricted.
