I live and work in the ag sector here in Rural SA. I can say we have been lucky with rain here. Much better than last year.
Two things... Remember that RFF are leasing the properties and these have water entitlements
Also we have seen grain prices (I know different but still same sector) rise from 290 a tonne for wheat to 325 a tonne and then dropping again after rain in a matter of weeks. It all depends on rain but the smart operators have excess water and feed saved for livestock. Some aren't so lucky and my heart goes out to them.
