Unfortunately historically nations have not responded rationally to tariffs when the Great Depression happened even after the people were starving the great nations of the world refused to lift tariffs. China cannot satisfy Trump it would mean losing face and so they will buckle down and suffer. The market is reading this wrong the Tariffs will stay unless the democrats win the house in November.
