I was a large holder when it was extremely cheap but it's not nearly as interesting at $6 as it was at $3.
My portfolio is limited to stocks which are a half or a third of fair value. STO may be a little cheap but no longer meets my criteria as I have identified more attractive alternatives.
Investing for me is always a question of relative value.
What you say about farming is correct but adding one ecological crisis to another doesn't make a right.
This is an old argument, to say alternatives are worse and dates back to the condition of the working class in England in 1844 where it was made in relation to young children working in the mill.
It's still a fallacy, rather than saying this option is less bad why not run with a good option.
I am quite sure that 100 years from now they will judge us for removing the forests, the restored forest will be a new ecosystem.
Humans aren't smart enough to restore nature at least we should preserve it.
The cost of drilling is going up, it's not an amazing business this one but I will buy anything if its cheap enough
