I doubt that there would be any significant sulfide problem. Eastern Victorian gold deposits are generally non refractory - pretty much free milling. Having said that many mines, including Morning Star, used cyanide as a final treatment medium in order to maximise recoveries/minimise tails values. I would think that the company’s metallurgical staff would have addressed the issue.
