    Whoah!

    Wise?

Thanks for the compliment but methinks a bit over-stated.

I can think of several much more appropriate adjectives.

Thing is - and I can only talk about my situation - I thought I'd gone in with my eyes open and we all had about 2 years to jump ship before the truth of the crap that was really the situation came home to roost.

Add that to the vigorous optimism that abounded, (let's face it, who could believe a $bill could evaporate and that an 80-year-old business could be destroyed in such a short period of time), and the minimising of the real situation in SGH-land we was all just patsies.

Even AG bought in a couple of times.

Me aside, there was a whole bunch of other mums-&-dads who would have fared badly, even worse.

Lets face it - SGH traded largely on it reputation and history.

But all that's gone - along, I'd imagine, with a a swag of it's traditional business in Australia.

Where can it go from here?

I've no idea - and can't understand the logic of sitting around any longer waiting to find out.
