Could do... though not for long. Costs have also risen since then, so about half of global supply would be loss making at 80c (half would close before too long so the price rises again). Also the current fall appears temporary and due to USD strenght, trade bluster, rising US rates and such...
Seen the South 32 - Arizona and Sandfire- White Rocks deals? IBG needs a JV partner to invest another $50mil in drilling and prove up more high grade resources to improve the economics. IBG doesn't even have any published reserves, the current feasibility is a sham.
They need to go back to drilling for a few years, do more, do the feasibility to a decent standard, then the timing might be right to catch the next Zn cycle. All IMHO of course.
