Hmmm your much kinder than me to disregard the grant money.
If they weren't prepared to pay 70% of 6 million then that means no new bio energy projects will go ahead without ARENA. Either way it's sending a risky message.
Yep ive definitely changed my tune quite quickly because I'm not seeing progress just good PR.
I'll happily change very quickly to be positive if some announcements for new projects are forthcoming. I just don't see the need for all this cash and the asset sale when there's nothing confirmed. It takes 6 to 12 months to execute a deal so I'm sceptical of the sudden push for all this money.
How about this.
Don't sell Goulburn.
Release financials.
Release new projects.
Borrow against Goulburn and SCA projects to fund first couple.
The ask shareholders for some cash.
Why before half yearly figures and clear info on mgmt expenses.
Why sell part of an income generating asset for a lower proportion of the build cost.
Even if they have 5 projects near announcement it's poor financial management in my view due to project lead times.
I'll eat my words if suddenly have urgent need for the capital but with long lead time and assets they can borrow against i just don't see that happening.
If there's a counter narrative that makes sense of love to hear it.
