My friend is half shan half malaysian and has family still living down there. He was heading that way and i was heading to North Thailand anyway so this was a rare chance to be brought around by locals. It wasn't too far actually from the Thai border. I think it was about 3-4 hours by taxi. I did see a few tourists down there but they were mainly Thai.
They drive on the right side of the road but the driver side is the same as Australia lmao. Many of the cars are sourced from Thailand which is the same side as us. There must be quite a lot of Christians down there as i saw probably 10 churches while i was there. Most are still buddhist though and they do not speak kindly of muslims. I also visited a hot spring where you could cook eggs in it.
I don't know how to upload video but i got a picture of the hydro. Kyaing Tong = Keng Tung. The spelling in English can vary. Lashio might even be spelt differently down there.

Seems like quite a lot of the AVB crew are here. I sold my shares before i went overseas.
