Let me play devil's advocate for a moment on this thread.

We can all agree that fundamentals must be good in takeovers.

Are ARQ’s fundamentals that good? If they are, why isn't the SP reflecting it?

If a takeover predator drilled down on the current fundamentals, would they really buy ARQ at the current sp (and up to what $ per share).

Which is not to say that there are currently not a number of Australian investment banks doing the rounds trying to drum up business (and in the process earn huge fees etc) re: a takeover of ARQ.

Note: I try to not buy a share with poor fundamentals betting that someone will take me out with a high bid, because I am going to be wrong far more often than I will be right. I also try not to speculate on underperforming companies betting that they will get bids. I have learnt that nobody wants them, least of all other companies.

Can someone please provide me with the current (or future) fundamentals on ARQ that would make a takeover predator take out ARQ (hope not being a fundamental)?

Remember, I am playing DA here, so be gentle with me (no rough foreplay)!!!

    Cheers
