Thanks G. Not all serendipity to being a reasonable estimate but a fair bit.

PS : Some cross posts as I was typing this - some addressed already below. Opasura is small, economics IMO will be very dependent (among many things) on continued Zn/Pb price stability - which is by no means a certainty.

AZS give a lot more detail.

60% or so indicated suggests conversion to a mineable resource could be relatively high with PEA and DFS.

    Grade sensitivity modelling.
1.5-3% (?low) cut off ranges give resources in the tonnage range expected with grades at ~8-9% combined. The distribution of the high and low grade areas will be important for mining practicalities/economics.

AZS acquired Opasura in mid August 2017 as a potential flagship project. Today's announcement confirms the original AZS exploration tonnage target on which a possible mine was based albeit at a lower grade than the original estimate of 10-12% combined Zn+Pb.

Resource estimates given the data provided by AZS are possible (good to be at a reasonable level with mine). However, as Tangs notes the really tough job is to turn that into a mineable resource = ore.

The process for this was outlined back in April's GM presentation. Now funded for drilling and studies through the rest of 2018 and ?...how far into 2019 and the potential decision to mine.

I vaguely remember posting that Opasura was unlikely to be a large or "Tier 1" depostit awhile back. A view that has not been changed by drilling to date.

[Although not too fair to compare deposits - Arizona Mines Hermosa Project (soon to be S32's?) became a take over target, in large part (IMO), because of exploration success with the Taylor Deposit at depth.
Something of that size is statistically unlikely at Opasura but mineralisation is open in some areas at Op E and W; soil geochemistry in the Mina Blanca area reveals potential in Arenillas Formation lithologies (same as Op E/W); plus hints of mineralisation in multiple levels of stratigraphy Op E/W all suggest some exploration upside for Opasura = extensions to Life of Mine.]

Today's figures are a good start for a company like AZS to realise a smallish (as a beginning??) mine that may begin a revenue flow in the next 18 months to 2 years that last for some 5-7 years with some exploration upside obvious.
