I beg to differ when you said the CSO wholesalers are inefficient and wasted CSO dollars.
It is a healthcare industry, and people need timely access to medicine. To be a CSO wholesaler, it is required to stock every SINGLE line of PBS medicines, including those extremely rare but potentially life-saving medicine. DHL is NOT gonna to stock these when risking them to expire with no CSO support!!!
To say that DHL is efficient, with Pfizer they only provides 8 delivery per months, where with AZ it is even lesser. It is good for DHL business, but hard to say it is good for Australian tax-payers. Imagine you are in a town with one pharmacy, and you bring in a Pfizer drug that requires to be ordered in, and the pharmacist telling you " sorry, we have used up our ordering quota for this month, you could either pay extra $50 for quickly delivery or wait for next month"
DHL is not going to replace the CSO wholesalers!!!!
