Good points Tizard. I was a Carnegie shareholder back in the mid 1990's when it was a resource/mining company and stuck happily stayed in when Alan Burns made his wave-energy inventions..loved it..he was prevented from mining by native's land claims when they couldn't even identify the land..in the mad final days of Paul Keating..His creative redirection was ground breaking..revolutionary thinking..in a country surrounded by the sea, with so many of us concentrated in coastal state-capital cities..It was never going to be a 'get rich quick scheme'..Needed time & resources and most the R&D is complete..not too far from commercialization and progressive governments are supporting our company. We are leading the World in this game-changing opportunity..all eyes are on Western Australia.
The guys had a crack at becoming an all-in-one microgrid solution provider..Trouble is the solar panel/battery industry is a much more crowded-field..Carnegie is to refocus 100% on it's specialty : wave energy. Thank goodness that decision wasn't left until much later. I'm happy to hold & see where we can take this when it's scaled right up for commercialization..As Tizard said, let's see where the share-price is in 6 months after the dust's all settled before taking any action. If we sell now at 2c & the price is 4c at Xmas then a class-action is unlikely to yield any compensation. If i'd dumped at 2.2c with an angry-mindset then i'd buy back in at 2c or less..then start lobbying our elected parliamentary representatives to get behind a pioneering Aussie battler to help Carnegie to power our coastal cities with our own ocean..and set an example to other island nations..it's the most reliable energy source our planet has and we are surrounded by lapping waves. After using our own energy for a positive-purpose we can review the use of CCE's Board Members use of their energy later in the year and make a balanced assessment. I remember Peter Garrett awarding a sizeable government-grant to a failed overseas ocean-energy company..Let's help show our politicians how an Aussie battler is leading the World in the most reliable, consistent renewable energy source..They talk about wind & solar power..but largely ignore what we are surrounded by. The Victorian Government wasted a fortune on a desalination plant..Carnegie has the ability to power-our-cities with scale and desalinated water is a bonus by-product.
We're onto something..all the Carnegie wave-energy moves have been forward steps and this is where the 100% focus will be now..Best regards & luck to all of us
