The mongrels may come a circling!
As preciously stated Rio Tinto are required, and management are well aware of my desire that Rio Tinto to pay the PovertyBoy premium.

    Rational
Reasons for said premium are not allowing people on contract employment set leave. I'm not talking paid leave, I'm talking give me a couple of weeks a year off from my two week on- one week off roster so I can plan my life a little better and not become a mental health statistic. Not talking sick pay, holiday pay anything like that. I do accept that other industries have embraced the gig economy. However overseas travel requires more than one week and some degree of planning.

I followed the procedure and phoned the ombudsmen. Clearly stated my reasoned explanation. Only swore and ranted about my logical reasoning and how tweaking the system actually supports capitalism on about three occasions. (Pretty retrained- I'm right here)

Spoke to former colleagues recently nothing has been done to remedy this situation it seems.

Not good enough. Contract employees should simply walk out of any meeting where the "importance of mental health" or the words " are you o.k" are spoken.

No 30 or 40% is not nearly going to be "o.k"
