Some really good info there.
Looks like Biosol is an extract, not a complex synthetic furanone like Biosignal's compounds. It is based on Peter's discovery.
Also I think Biosol only slows quorum sensing for a period, 12 hrs to 3 weeks depending on the extracts, which makes it suitable for sewerage treatment as quorum sensing needs to be reactivated at the plant to assist with water treatment.
Biosignal's compounds I think permanently shut off quorum sensing - an advantage for the markets biosignal is pursuing.
Thus I think biosol won't enter biosignal's markets and vice versa. Besides, Biosignal is years ahead in attachment, worldwide contacts and R&D relationships.
However, interesting to note that Ross Chandler the maker of Biosol could do all this and be ready to go to market without public funding! And how the hell didn't I know about this earlier? Thought I'd trawled through a lot of it! Then again there are lots of companies developing water treatment methods through similar methods. I think BOS is a leader in its respective fields though.
If you look at the data for biosol, it's an eye irritant but that's about it. Whereas biosignal compounds can coat contact lenses no worries.
I fired off a couple of emails to Peter and to Ross, let you know when I get a response.
