Dual-listed Orion Minerals, which is backed by mid-tier miner Independence Group NL, is seeking to raise $8 million at 3.7¢ a share.
Stockbrokers Euroz Securities and Petra Capital are overseeing a two-tranche placement of 216 million shares
Orion has a 73.3 per cent economic interest in the Preiska and Marydale projects located in the Northern Cape of South Africa.
Funds raised will be applied to progressing these projects, continuing exploration programmes and completing a bankable feasibility study.
Independence Group became a substantial shareholder in Orion in May via a $5 million placement at 5¢ per share.
