BBX RECEIVES A FORMAL RESPONSE FROM DNPM (MINES DEPT.) ON TRIAL MINING APPLICATIONS

Brazilian gold explorer BBX Minerals Ltd. (ASX: BBX or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the publication in the Brazilian Government Gazette of a formal response to the Company´s trial mining licence applications at the Ema and Três Estados prospects.

The response comprises a short list of four items which require resolution or clarification within 60 days before the licences can be issued. The four items are as follows:

1) Presentation of the relevant environmental licences

2) Presentation of the certificate of the Registered Mining Engineer authorised to utilise explosives

3) Presentation of the design of the tailings disposal system, signed off by a qualified engineer

4) Clarification of the proposed destination of any accessory precious metals (silver, platinum and other PGM´s)

With regards to the environmental licences the Company is in daily contact with the Amazonas State environmental authority (IPAAM) regarding release of the licences. It is understood that the principal outstanding issue is finalisation of registration of the land ownership over the licence areas, which is currently being expedited.

The certificate required under:

item 2) has already been obtained from the Company´s consultant mining engineer,

item 3) is not relevant as treatment will be conducted off-site at a licenced treatment facility and a response to

item 4) clarifying that all precious metals produced will be sold in conjunction with the gold, is being prepared.
