Yes indeed and somewhat reminiscent of Iraq in 2003 when Prime Minister John Winston Howard lied to us about the threat of Saddam Husseins WMDs. Howard's lies were of course, a pathetic (and illegal) excuse to justify Australian forces joining the conga line of allies invading Iraq. And that all ended very badly, except for the warmongering politicians responsible.
