the estimate is approx $1 mil USD for every DDG class destroyers , there are 62 DDG's currently in service so approx $62 mil . Once the trials are successfull US navy may pursue with fitting other ship classes as well. Given that Touchstone and USN have spent 10 + years researching thhe composites I cannot forsee a reason for the trails to fail.
