Novo has pegged vast areas and has more than enough ground to explore for the next 20 years! If I recall corectly it has a small portion of exposed conglomerate on the western edge of the dome which may give them a good insight into conglomerate in the south of the basin if thats what they need in order to gain information which will assist them develop techniques to explore underground conglomerate.
They dont need MZNs land.
Im sure Dr Hennigh recognises the value of companies independently assessing conglomerate...he doesnt pretend to have all the answers and the sharing of information benefits all. If anything, the lack of independent work is probably holding back the understanding of conglomerate generally. Its always been my view that the more minds that work on this stuff the better for all.
Thats not to say MZN's tenements are not an attractive proposition for someone else to enter the conglomerate story. Perhaps down the track interest in conglomerate will increase and a decent price may be offered, but right now its not the hot sector we all hope it will be.
MZN's approach is to plug away at it and derisk the project at a rate that suits, while keeping all options open. That make sense to me.
