ASX listed company Byte Power Group (BPG) is shaping up to launch the first publicly listed cryptocurrency exchange, with 8 cryptocurrencies paired with 3 fiat currencies (AUD, USD & KRW).

One of the BPG forum members recently stumbled upon what appears to be a beta version of the exchange: Byte Power X so I  thought I'd create a thread to discuss the exchange.

Pre-registration can be completed here: http://bytepowerx.com/login.aspx however as a member pointed out in another thread, it may be prudent to wait until security is confirmed on the website before handing over your details. I personally took the risk, as it's only name and email at this point.

I have created a Telegram group called Byte Power X, explicitly stating it is an unofficial community group in the description.

I have been interested and active in the crypto community for a couple of years, and one of the great things about crypto projects and exchange projects is the community.

I don't have too much confidence in this management to get the marketing right, and doubt their experience in the space (this could be unwarranted, but judging from their social media presence so far, I have my doubts).

As an investor in BPG, it's in my best interest to start doing some marketing of my own. Even if it's just to get the word out there to current Aussie crypto traders that there is a new exchange coming.

The majority of people I know who use the current competitors CoinSpot (actually a broker, not a proper exchange) and CoinJar (again not an exchange from what I understand) are completely put off by their high fees and spreads.

The Australian crypto community has been waiting for a decent exchange, and one backed by a publicly listed company can only do wonders.

Here is the link to the Telegram group:

You can join through Telegram desktop (website) or if you click from your smartphone, and have the Telegram app installed, it should take you straight to the group. Any advice on making this group public with a more user-friendly link is welcomed.

Please join if you're familiar with Telegram and interested in this project.

Any other suggestions on how to market this exchange at this early stage are more than welcome!

    Peace!
