Yeah i think that is a fair assessment Mickey. Sandfire is use to buying stuff on the cheap. But Simich met his match with Kerry Harmanis. Harmanis had made half a billion $ long before Simich et al from Sandfire were even heard of.
Your correct. Simich would have tried to buy out Harmanis first up. But the guy is no fool. So Sandfire had no alternative but to make an offer attractive enough to get full control of the JV.
