The article is talking about SFR making an offer for TLM's share of Monty / Springfield JV, not a take-over of TLM as a whole.
TLM have their NSW ground + the Sinclair Nickel Project in WA. They could divest their 30% share of Monty / Springfield JV for a serious amount of cash, and develop their other projects with that cash.
