Take Turkey, they can take this technology under license and manufacture panels creating a whole new domestic industry churning out product at half the price of silicon ones made in China. Efficiency will soon zoom up to the = of conventional panels as the implementation from advances in the lab is so fast. Other energy starved countries will follow.

Then building products will no longer be a cost but be able to give an investment return over their lifetime. On top of that electricity with this technology will become so cheap that along with rapid advances in water splitting and ammonia production as a hydrogen storage solution. This means both economical power for vehicles and energy conversion back to electricity when the sun don't shine.
