These raisings are usually negotiated well in advance, of where a broker is prepared to support the company for a cash injection, and they work the share price down until they get to desired price point.

Pretty frustrating for share holders, but it is a rare breed spec company that actually gives 2 hoots about retail investors.

At the end of the day they are only making sure they are looking after themselves, and to keep themselves employed.

IMO
