Hi Folks,
Today I was fortunate enough to spend some time with one of the exec directors at the CCP stand in the 2018 Sydney CeBIT Expo. They were in the Vodaphone booth; Vodaphone had a very BIG stand in the middle of the venue. Lots of foot traffic though CCP was tucked away in the corner. See pics.
Some key things I took away from the conversation:
- JV with Las Vegas is very exciting, the partner has a product that removes humidity from registration units and have a good customer base across Las Vegas. CCP will compliment their technology. There has been some delays with legal signing of papers and I think we will see the announcement shortly.
- My feeling was that we may see a SPP in the next cap raise and I also got the feeling they fully understand the difficult position with doing a CR with the current SP.
- CCV includes sales from licensing the CCP platform - so the total CCV does not actually represent total number of smart tags sold
- The most amazing fact I learnt was that the smart tags battery life last 3 years! Customer do not need to charge a smart tag, you simply put into the unit you want to measure. Some custom smart tags have extended sensors and the tag sits outside the unit.
- Australian channel partner sales are ramping up, and I got the feeling we are going to see something very exciting with a well known brand.
- Deploying the smart tags to big supermarkets is not worth it because those massive perishable fridges already have smart temperature measuring alert systems built in.
- CCP smart tags are one of many few IoT devices that are actually in production, sold and used by consumers on a daily basis
Overall I was quite pleased and still very confident in CCP moving forward, we are only held down under the 2c floor by around $20k but there is allot of uncertainty as to what the CR price will be. If SPP does get released I will definitely be participating to its full amount.
Also the AGM is in Melbourne and I might take a flight up, if anyone is keen to catch up at the AGM let me know!
Cheers
