@Michaelirish Took a look at this on the weekend. Buffet's calculator is similar to the Aspect Valuation Model which measures an intrinsic value for a stock by calculating the present value of the forecasted future stream of earnings for the company. The present value is calculated by using a discount rate adjusted for the stocks risk.
My broker has an AVM ranking of 1 for BLD meaning it is in the top 10% of stocks for having good intrinsic value.
My broker also has an Aspect Earnings Model value of 0.58, which supports the current share price having an intrinsic value of approx $11.
And when I used Buffets calculator I got an intrinsic value of $11.28. So I suspect your values for the book values differs from mine if you only got some odd $6.50.
