I think the share price reaction to the announcement is pretty indicative of how the majority of investors feel. If most thought this capital raising (that is the offer to the general public) was good news for existing holders, then one would assume that would have a positive price response. Having said that, the best way to mitigate the damage is to participate in the raising.
