The Libs and all politicians mainly the conservative side have to be careful what they say as swinging voters are always partial to the other side and are driven not by logic/reason but primarily emotions so we have to tell them "we will look at a case by case" basis if they get in to Vic gov in November  to stop them panicking and voting for the greens side (as they are told to)- evil carbon! ) The Libs by nature will lean towards  releasing the bans with a free hand allow all reasonable drilling to occur inland and everywhere while being our natural "overlords" haha Its interesting but a poll is saying now that  half of aust is now worried Alt energy cant supply base load (mess in SA) - finally the message of practical Science is getting through to the non science thinking people that make most of  the population and that strong push to try and save some old plants and rebuild others at least till we can get the "science" more proven. Its incredible even with high power bills because of lost carbon energy, people still wanting primarily "green" energy even if it hurts them. This will be a long hard fight to keep the "old ways" but until we have nuclear plants like the rest of the world, we dont have a lot of choices to keep that 240 v stable day and NIGHT. Correct me if i wrong but TELSA battery packs like all electric car floor pans full of batteries are all "chemical" ? and last only few years so have to be recycled- extremely toxic and in massive quantities soon . The average V6 engine last 300K and then gets melted down recycled with no toxics. hmm
Sadly the point is the OLD stuff is still better in so many ways at least till the science can improve and better to slowly replace carbon gradually so services can be maintained
Either now or in November Lakes and others can get back to business and i think by then the realisation that Green energy is not "the total answer" will  finally start to hit home especially as bills get higher.
Hopefully the LKO decision will come soon and be favourable so common sense can prevail.
    Just MO thoughts/ramblings  for Monday......
