I don't understand your logic at all @laira. Everything that Madamswer has posted suggests to me that he simply disagrees with the (negative or, at least, overly negative) analysis of previous posters on this stock. Your disgruntlement with him expressing his view in this instance to me is as pointless as chiding those negative posters for even opening their mouths as they seem the only reason he has responded.
Better to confine yourself to arguing his points, than suggesting that he might be some sort of stooge planted here to protect the interests of a $14billion company from the critiques of a few predominantly political right-wing (and seemingly uninformed) posters. His opinions carry no less weight for me because they come from a non-holder, I'll judge them on merit.
It's also a little hard for me not to chuckle at your own hypocrisy. The reasons for my mirth are detailed below.
In the last six months, @laira, you have made 67 posts to Hot Copper.
- you have only posted to 2 stocks. You have made 3 posts to sporting threads.
- the other 50 posts you have made have all been to either the politics thread or the science thread and have:
I) constantly questioned the validity of man-made climate change, and in places denied it completely.
II) attacked those who believe in climate change.
III) bemoaned the use of taxpayer funds to arrest it.
IV) attacked opponents of key climate change deniers.
V) cherry-picked articles denying climate change and posted them to Hot Copper to try and support your minority, far-right wing political views with science that you yourself acknowledge you do not understand.
VI) avidly supported our continuing reliance on coal, and rejoiced at potential increases in its use.
Realistically, I need only have perused your recent posting history and I could have foretold the position you would hold on this stock. It's a bit rich to be questioning someone else's motives (@madamswer's) when your own agenda is so glaringly obvious, once you scratch away a little at the wafer-thin crust.
Before you complete the jump to one of four obvious retorts, know that the reason I post positively to AGL despite being a non-holder is because I view it as a choice investment if you're looking for a safe, medium growth, dividend stock. I am almost there, all I need now is some liquidity, and when that opportunity presents itself, I will buy in.
