Wind is massive and inexpensive compared to coal and coal is a major polluter that is closing down all over the country. There should be many more coal closures on environmental grounds alone but the reality is it is financial reasons for coal fired power stations shutting down so don't listen to pathetic excuses that it is political in any way such as some Green Conspiracy. All reasons for closure were purely financial such as French energy giant ENERGIA stated their large coal fired power station was simply not profitable to run. At this point in time there is no requirement for fusion and it is simply not safe anyway.

Really got to take issue with any comparison to electricity generation in Europe . They have nuclear power we do not. Unfair to compare to us .
