AT&T Faces `Softness' in Consumer Business, Stephenson Says

Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- AT&T Inc., the biggest U.S. phone company, faces ``softness'' in its consumer business because of slowing economic growth, Chief Executive Officer Randall Stephenson said.

The pressure hasn't affected corporate sales, Stephenson said today at a conference in Phoenix, broadcast over the Internet.
