There is certainly no paucity of samples waiting to be assayed or being processed atm I would think......they have obviously run an XRF over cores and concentrate samples at the very least.

One would assume they already have their hands on some of the 'late 2017' DD and pit results by now (I hope).

News flow re DD holes could be better and I agree the 5 month timeline is perhaps stretching it somewhat in terms of releasing the data......

14 DD holes completed so far since 29th of Oct last yr......and 27 pits in roughly the same time. There should be some significant news flow near term.

From dec qtr rep(re holes CRP001-CRP005)

"All drill holes intersected the near-surface conglomerate unit (Photo1), along with volcanic breccia units and mafic volcanics. Half core samples will be sent to a NATA-certified laboratory in Lae for analysis of gold and other elements".

Re bulk sample (from Dec qtr rep):

"The samples are being processed on-site through a Knelson concentrator and sluice box to collect a heavy mineral concentrate"

"The concentrates will be sent to ALS laboratories in Perth to determine the total contained gold in the samples. Representative samples of the tailings are also being collected for analysis. As well as the bulk samples, vertical channel samples are being collected and analysed by fire assay to compare with the bulk assays"

Re the porphyry analysis (again in Dec qtr rep):

"Rock chip samples have been despatched to ITS-Intertek Laboratory in Lae for analysis; results are pending and are being treated as priority"

Also: (re general exploration from Dec qtr rep)

"Reconnaissance mapping and geochemical sampling programs were completed in the Laialam village area"

    "Final assay results are pending"

I would tend to think the aggregate idea you mention has merit.....but guess it's a wait and see type scenario. Maybe the bottleneck is in the Lab's they are using to process the samples?

From my readings of past ann's I don't think there are any historic DD holes over the crown ridge area (but I could be wrong).
