yes it is a surprise to see a big selling in AGL.
Lots of traders might not believe that AGL can maintain their profit going forward, if you look at Shortman.com.au you can see that 27.72% of the trades yesterday were shorts and interesting to see today's number and see if the shorts were again active today and as one of the reasons the sp got pushed down.
It tried to punch over 22 again and failed again and it may take longer for AGL to go over 22 but taking a small position at the low today and see if it will rebound back to close under 22 would be a nice small profit.
It is a good trading stock but holding a position for mid to longer term can be very profitable if they keep paying 54c div
After the 27th and you mean after the div is paid ? well ex div was already a few weeks ago.
Unfortunately none of us can see the future so we can only manage our risk and capital all we know is the sentiment on AGL is still negative and clear to see there are not enough buyers to push it over 22 yet.
