I was just reading all of the past posts here. I see you are onboard the REH train. Thanks for all of your input, good reading.

I’m happy to share what I’ve experienced over a couple of decades with them as a customer and as a share holder.

I guess the disgruntled plumbers not using reece doesn’t have too much effect on profits or share pricing......otherwise I’m sure reece would have done something about it a long time ago. It works for them so why would they change it. The managers over the years use very similar catch phrases when negotiating pricing so they are carefully schooled and trained to deal with price enquiries; ‘charm school’.

Reece do invest heavily in keeping their stores well renovated, fresh and cohesive, they are the leaders in what they do so perhaps this is where the ‘reece creep’ dollars go and keep them out ahead of the field.

I wouldn’t be to disgruntled about the price ratcheting, it’s always been like that and the share price and overall performance speaks for itself.

I’ve read some comments about the housing market and reece share price but it’s important to bear in mind that most plumbers doing large scale housing construction (sausage factory homes, would not be purchasing the bulk of there productise from Reece’s. Margins too tight and reece too expensive. Plumbing maintenance is always required, pipes always burst, toilets block and drains break regardless of who is government or what the interests rates are.

Robots will never take over a plumbers job.
