I must have misread the dividend announcement, assuming the dividend would be paid 1 months after the ex-date. 3 months after the ex-date seems really long. I see CBA take 1.5 months. 3 weeks for some other companies.
Can't say I know how the 3 month delay is chosen. Must be done by the company themselves.
